Suddenly left pupil larger than the right with various symptoms

Hi,
I have one pupil that has, since mid-august, been dilating larger than the other. When dilated like this and the other is not it initially does respond to light appropriately but then slowly 'pulsates' back to being dilated. I have also been experiencing the following symptoms: Nausea (but not actually vomiting), lack of appetite, headaches, sharp pains in both eyes, dizziness and mild- vertigo (where I feel the chair is tipping or the room is slightly swaying), the muscles ache around my eyes and sometimes I wake with a strange 'tingling' numb feeling in the back of my head, on the right hand side. I have also been taking a photo diary and have noticed that sometimes it seems both eye have different focal points.
The complicating factors are that I spent the summer in South America (actually in the amazon rainforest) and I am also being treated for asthma: seretide 125, twice a day and ventolin before exercise.
I have seen a optometrist and he does not seem to know why, he seems baffled and he check behind my eyes and did a test on my vision which was fine. I have attached a photos of my eyes.
I would really appreciate your expertise.
