Suffer severe Trigeminal Neuralgia attacks for 8 years- few questions.

I've suffered from severe TN for 8 years now. At the beginning the pain although tolerable was lancinating and intermittent. However as time has progressed the pain has simply become intolerable. I am on Carbamazepine and Baclofen, and I can no longer tolerate such high doses (1800 mg Carbamazepine daily), as the side effects of them are leaving me continually unwell.
Originally the pain was in the Cheeks, Nose, Forehead and Scalp areas, but with time, the pain has spread to the whole head and neck areas. As well as having TN, I have an Anomaly at Craniocervical junction (Congenital), which has also worsened with time, and severe osteoarthritis of the Neck. My questions are:-
1. Would TN cause violent compressive pulling soreness of sides of face, just below ears which goes right down the neck and is constantly severe?
2. Would pain and numbness of face go right through and cause occipital pain?
3. I am getting sharp pains, both sides of my neck like severe Angina. Would TN Cause pain in neck area or would this pain indicate something else?
Please help me as I have to wait another 9 months to see the Neurologist. I am very worried and distressed.

In general, trigeminal neuralgia is a clinical diagnosis.  Patients usually report electric like shocks across one side of the face in part or all of the face.  They're usually set off by brushing your teeth, cold drinks, breeze across the face, talking, or even making facial expressions.  Your symptoms sound like they go beyond TN.  I will send you to the neurologist's forum to see if they can help.
