Surgery for cronic(chronic) daily headaches.

  My father has suffered from daily cronic (chronic) "tension" headaches for over 20
  years. Over that time he has seen numerous doctors and has tried every
  available treatment currently known to medical science. And I mean every-
  thing. Nothing has helped.
  Recently I heard that surgery could be done to sever the nerves in the
  area of the headache. That this would leave numbness in the area but the
  headaches would be gone. Can you provide any further information on this
  proceedure and/or recommended a doctor in the South Florida area who may be
  able to do the proceedure. My father is now 82 and lives in Delray Beach.

I am afraid we do not have the facilities to find out who does this procedure
in your area , however there is very little published data on this procedure
in the last few years and the latest paper I have seen suggests that this
procedure is good for headache after trauma but is not very efective for
tension headache.
I have attached the reference so that you can decide for your self if you
can obtain the article from a meical / university library.

idea to startby e-mailing this person , if he is deeply involved in the
area he may be able to give you some advice and tell you where to start in
the delray beach area.
