Swelling and twitch on the cheek and nose

I have swelling on my cheek that twitches constantly.  It has happened twice now in a month's time.  The first time it was on the cheek bone; swelled to the size of a silver dollar. Twitched like crazy.  The swelling went down but the twitch remained constant.

This time it's under my left eye and down my cheek and side of my nose.  While there is no real pain, it is uncomfortable and annoying.

Is this something to be concerned about??

I do have sinus allergies and often will get sinus inflamation when the major weather changes.  And at first I did think it was a spider bite.  Thanks for your thoughts on my issue.

Hi,

It is important to know if you suffer from any allergies. The swelling and twitching on the face can occur due to insect bite and allergies.

I would suggest you to get clinically examined by your GP as it is difficult to give a straightforward answer without a clinical exam. As of now it does not seem to be anything to be concerned about.
