Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

A swollen, unilateral leg can be from several causes. The ones that come to mind first are blockage of the lymphatics or venous drainage. I would suggest you follow up with your primary care physician for this. You may need an ultrasound of your leg to ensure that you do not have a deep venous thrombosis. Depending on the examination, static limb imaging, such as a CT, may be necessary.
