Symptons

I think first you will have to excuse my English, my husband has just been diagnosed with MS, What kind of symptoms are common to this desease? what consequences does this disease bring? So far he had had blurred, or shadowed vision, paralysis in his legs and arms, tingling feeling in his hands and arms.Thank You
Dear Lia,
Multiple sclerosis (MS) in general in a relapsing-remitting disorder, that is, symptoms come and go and tend to be accumulative over time.  Symptoms vary from person to person based on the location of the MS lesions. They may include any combination of the following poor memory, distractibility, double vision,  loss of vision/ shadowed vision (optic neuritis), spinning sensations (vertigo), sensory changes such as numbness and tingling (any part of the limbs or body may be affected), weakness more frequently in the legs, stiffness (spascticity), difficulty with walking/balance, difficulty with coordination, slurred speech, tremor, constipation, erectile dysfunction. There is great individual variability that exists in regard to the prognosis.  66% of patients will have the relapsing-remitting course.  After the initial onset of symptoms, there is a peak form days to weeks followed by a remission during which the symptoms resolve to a variable extent.  The minimum duration for a relapse is 24 hours.  The average number of relapses is less than one per year.  Approximately 15% of patients will never experience a second attack "benign MS". 19% of patients will have a primary progressive form, that is, symptoms worsen from the onset. 15% have relapses on a progressive course.  I hope this information gives you  better insight to the disease. Good Luck.
