Synovial Cyst Removal
My wife had a Synovial Cyst near S1-L5 (I think) removed by an Orthopedic Surgeon in January 2012.  The symptoms never really subsided and 11 months later MRI shows a return of the cyst.  The same surgeon wants to remove the cyst AGAIN.  Fusion is not a preferred option at this time.  Is this type of surgery generally performed by a Neuro Surgeon or Orthopedic?

The surgery can be performed both by a neurosurgeon or an orthopedician who has expertise in spinal surgeries.
