Syrinx

Syrinx

I had an MRI that notes a Syrinx seen from C6/7 through C7/T1, with a partially imaged syrinx from T3/4 extending inferiorly.  I will  be going in for an MRI with contrast soon.
What is standard treatment for a Syrinx.

Hi Nicki,

I don't have a syrinx or Syringromelia, but I have Chiari which can cause a syrinx.  I would go to the Chiari Malformation forum on here so you can get good info.  I would also go to asap . org you will also find great info there as well as another forum.

How they treat it depends on what's causing it...good luck!
