TIA at 18??

I was just wanting any info on what people think i might of had. When i was 18 i was at work when my face, tongue and hands started to go numb and i felt all dizzy and nauseas and couldnt talk properly. It went away in about 20 minutes or so but i was freaked out. I went to the doctor and he said he didnt know and gave me panadol then i went home! Just today i read about TIA's and wonder if this is what i had??? I am now 23. I guess its not worth mentioning it to a doctor since it happened so long ago but im just freaking out a bit! What do you think?
The only thing im worried about the same time after this happened, i have had tingling in my hands when i take a deep breath. I still have it today. This could be totally unrelated but not knowing much i wanted some advice.

Do you ever get migraines?  Sometimes they can manifest theirselves this way.  Just a thought.

I think i had a migraine when i was about 15, all of a sudden i felt sick and couldnt read the back of the panadol packet (it was like i forgot how to read all of sudden) and then i started vomiting and couldnt move cause my head was going to explode...Is that a migraine? It was sort of like the episode when i was 18 but instead with a MASSIVE headache and vomiting and NO numbness.

There are several different kinds of migraines.  You should have a brain MRI done to see if there is anything going on in there.  I never had migraines until about 8 years ago, my mom and her father have had them since they were young, migraines are thought to be hereditary. Does anyone in your family have migraines? Mom or Day maybe?  Nausea and vomiting are linked to migraines, I get nausea, but no vomiting, everyone is different.  Sometimes I get the symptoms that I'm going to havea migraine, and the migraine never occurs. Go to your doc and have him schedule you a MRI.  Hope this helps.  There are lots of meds out there these days that can help you.
