TINGLING PLUS ELECTRIC SHOCK FEELING DOWN SPINE

My daughter has been suffering from pins and needles for the last two weeks. Recently she has experienced an electric shock sensation down her spine when she bends her head forward. The pins and needles started in her feet and the sensation went up her legs; this has now subsided. Pins and needles remain in the tips of her fingers. She recently had a cold and this was followed by a rash. As the rash was disappearing the pins and needles started. She has also been stressed due to the nature of her symptoms.

Some years ago my mother in law experienced almost identical symptoms. These lasted for approx 8 weeks and diagnosis was difficult. In the 7th week she was diagnosed with polyneuritis. The symptoms eventually went without treatment. Could my daughter's problem be the same thing.
