TM and itchiness

Hi everybody

My husband was diagnosed with TM 6 weeks ago (actually his problems started one week prior to the diagnosis) and about a week after the diagnosis, he began getting real itchy when taking shower on his chest and about the same point on his back right on the area where he had an inflammatory spot on his spine(T2). His neurologist says this is probably because of nerve damage but has referred us to a dermatologist anyway.

I did a bit of research on internet and found out this is a common complaint in people with MS, however his doctor has assured me that he doesn't have MS at this point and there's little chance that his situation develops into MS in future.

Just curious if anybody else has had this situation...
