TO DR ABIHJEET

by Melissa072, Mar 06, 2008 07:44PM
I experienced face pain last June for about 6 weeks, no meds would take away the dull constant ache, then I noticed tingling hands, feet, groin, which lasted from July to about November, then stopped, I had a mri of brain and whole spine without contrast in July, normal. Then I twitched all over for a couple weeks, had burning, cold spots, and my face has numbish feel to it, also under my feet are numbish and feel weird, they have been like this now since June/July. I  had mri done with contrast January of this year, normal, and a L.P. which was negative. The tingling that I had in my feet comes back now in the same spot when I'm hot, then once I've cooled down it goes away. The numbish feel to both feet is now in my ankles, so I know something is very wrong, I'm convinced I have ms but due to the normal results no one can dx me. My neuro said I have high thyroid antibodies, and put me on 9 days of steroids, which did nothing, so then I went into hospital and had 3 days steroids via the drip, no change. He told me I have Hashimotos enc...(some long name), which was responsive to steroids. I also had dizziness, still have and my back and both arms burn like I have deep heat on them. Some of my sympton fit hashimotos thyroiditus not H.E. but my thyroid is fine, it's not over or under. I asked my neuro about my concerns still for ms and he said my chances of having  it are less than 3%. I'm worried I do have ms and nothing is showing on tests yet, in neuros 23 years of doing this he has only had 2 ladies that had normal tests and later went on to have ms, one after 2 years and the other after 20 years. In your experience can someone have clear and normal mri's and negative L.P. and still have ms????????????? If I have high thyroid antibodies can these cause ms symptons? I also said to neuro about the tingling coming back in heat and he said hashimtos is an inflammatory disease and all of them make things worse in heat, I'm just not so sure though, I would really appreciate  your opinion, I have also had dizziness before and burning in feet, which I experience again now too, thanking you...........Melissa
