Temple Veins/ Lack of Sleep/ Cold Sweats

Im male, 18 and on the right side of my temple i have one prominent vein, and two on the left side. These seem to have got worse as time has gone by. I constantly feel these pulsating, and 'sticking out' even without excercise or hot weather. With this i also get random cold sweats and occasionally get 'dotted' vision, like load of black dots? I also find it very difficult to sleep as i naturally incline to sleep on my side, i often wake up with one of the veins throbbing like crazy.

Any ideas, my GP sad its nothing to worry about without even looking at me!

Dilated and enlarged veins may occur anywhere in the body and are unsightly to patients. These veins become prominent and bulging due to a several reasons. Weakening of the vein wall is a contributing factor. Other factors include thinning of the overlying skin and loss of elasticity that makes veins unsightly. Common locations for these unwanted veins are the hands, temple areas of the face, around the eyes, the breasts and the chest. Another cause of dilatation of veins and other symptoms of lack of sleep and vision problem may be due to inflammation of veins . Please consult a cardiologist for the diagnosis and treatment . Well, there is an arterial disorder you can have that affects the vessels that go up the side of the face and next to the eye, where the temple is.  If you have pain along with your other symptoms, you should probably visit a doc who specializes in circulation problems, like a cardiologist.  I cannot recall the name of the disorder, but I think I've described it pretty well.
