I am a 19 year old femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction, all my life on occasion I have experienced startling hallucinations and changes in perception. ColorsColor blindness Color blindness tests Color vision test become supersaturated, distances and depths become impossible to judge, things appear to grow or shrink, the world becomes unreal and I separate from my body. I have a difficult time with motor controlControl Control rx, unable to perform tasks like lighting a lighter or writing. I fall down and bump into things a lot. Sometimes (but not usually) I hear things that aren't there and smellSmell - impaired Stools - foul smelling things that no one else does. From what I can gather the term for this is alice in wonderland syndrome, and can be caused by mono, migraine, or temporalForehead lift Temporal arteritis Temporal lobe seizure lobe seizure. Given my history of being on many constantly shifting medications since childhood, seizure is the most likely of the three (I've already had mono).
I'm confused by the duration. A seizure or even a migraine aura doesn't last that long. But my episodes are in full force for hours up to a day and often leave me slightly disoriented for days or weeks afterward. This hasn't fit anything I've read and I'm quite concerned because they've been happening more frequently over the past year or so. If anyone has a clue what is happening and what I can do about it... it would be most appreciated.

The symptoms of migraine aura can last for many hrs and sometimes up to days. This referred to complicated migraine or persistent aura without infarction. Medications like sumatriptan are helpful in controlling this type of migraine.
This definitely requires further evaluation by a neurologist as well as tests like CT scan of brain and an EEG test to rule out seizures.
