Thank you for your response. The onset was sudden and is tolerable but becoming a real irritation. I will take your advice if no relief is apparent.

It looks like a nerve problem (occipital nerve), although at times chronic sinusits can lead to temporal pain but it is rare. In maority of cases of sinusitis, the pain is due to involvement of trigeminal nerve. Sinus pain is often felt in the face around the eyes, upper cheeks, and the forehead. It's advisable that you see your neurologist.
