Temporary loss of vision in one eye.

I woke this morning with complete blindness in my left eye. Total darkness.  I jumped out of bed and sat on the stairs and after 30-45 seconds my sight returned to normal.  As it was doing so i could see what i can only describe as tiny silver and green spots in front of my vision. I am 36, i have a heart murmur i am also taking Tamoxifen following breast cancer.  I have had migraines in the past but this was entirely different. My eye has 'ached' all day following this and i'm scared to go to sleep now.

could also be optic neuritis, opthamologist would definitely be the first step

Possible detatched retina, or retina about to detach, get it checked out URGENTLY with an opthalmologist.
