I've been trying to increase my RBC by taking iron, methyfolate. would moving to Germany or Asia help my oxygen and brain fog/exhaustion? it's really an unlivable condition to live with
It's just terrible to be crippled and have brain fog and exhaustion all day. I have a BMI of 24 and weigh 190-200
Dear Doctor,
Yes I'm overweight but I think it's the asthma and sleep apnea, I have 86% oxygen or lower during the day and 75% in my sleep even on inhalers and can't exhale.
I think my blood oxygen levels were at the max after the tracheotomy maybe I need to redo the operation
Hi!
If you are overweight or obese, you could be suffering from Pickwickian syndrome or obesity hypoventilation syndrome. It consists of a tetrad of four conditions: 1) Obesity 2) Falling oxygen levels in blood 3) Increasing blood carbon dioxide levels 4) Hypoventilation or shallow or slow breathing. Interestingly, obstructive sleep apnea is an important symptom in this condition. The other symptoms are excessive drowsiness (C02 narcosis), depression, fatigue and headaches which are worse in the morning. Polysomnography and home oximetry are the tests to diagnose this condition. Treatment of choice is the use of CPAP(continuous positive airway pressure) or APAP(automated positive airway pressure) . Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
