Hi there, very new to this, but I thought there can't be much harm in asking.
Ok,
So over the past 7-8 weeks, I have had 3 grand mal seizures, 2 at home (hospitalised after both) and one while in hospital the second time. And over 30 complex partial seizures - some day after day, some 3. A day, at random intervals.
Be that sleeping, walking, sitting, talking.
My last grand mal seizure I was asleep in bed and woke up to my partner crying coz she was so scared (understandably)
Now there hasn't been anything specific setting these off as they appear to come out of no where.
I'm not a very big alcohol drinker, maybe a 6 pack a month if that.
I do smoke pot on occasion, but that wouldn't be the issue as I've been smoking for a couple years now and this has only been recent. And I really don't smoke that much.
My family is prone to genetic cardio myopathy, I haven't been tested yet but I thought I would mention it.
After my last seizures I've been having trouble finding words and walking. Which is probably the result of having these seizures in the first place.
And presently there are no other symptoms.
I have had an EKG, EEG, MRI and a consultation with 2 separate neurologists while in hospital, all tests have come back clean. Even had a chest X-ray which was clean.
So everybody has no idea what the hell is happening to me, and it took 7 weeks to find out that these drooling episodes if been having were actually complex partial seizures.
The hospital has prescribed epilin - an anti epileptic as well as some anti neusia and sleeping tablets.
Any information would defiantly be appreciated, and heck even a doctor recommendation on who to see in regards to something like this would be great.
Regards,
R.
