Could this tingling condition be associated with my Pagets or is this possibily another condition? I am not currently being treated for Paget's since I do not experience much discomfort from it.
Hi,
Do a blood work and rule out diabetes.Consult an neurosurgeon and an orthopaedician they will check for neurologic causes or local causes which manifest with such symptoms.
Goodluck.
While you were diagnosed with Paget’s disease of the skull, it is not uncommon for this condition to affect other areas such as the femur, vertebrae, pelvis and tibia.
It is possible that Paget's may have affected your spine, leading to compression of nerve roots resulting in the tingling sensation and numbness.
Consult your physician regarding this possibility to assess possible extension of Paget's disease into other areas aside from the skull.
Another note....I have had two Bone Scans. in the past four years, and it only indicates that it is in the Skull...although I have started having some "stabbing" pain in my left thigh.
Please see a neurologist urgently. I have Multiple Sclerosis and a lot of your symptoms are the same as mine and I am currently being investigated to see if I have pagets disease of the nipple. I had a green discharge and itchy nipple for 7 years and had a mammogramme that they said was a bit suss. got me back and did another one and then told me it must have been a shadow on the first mammogramme and the discharge was from me being a smoker.......(b.....sht) I never believed that but now I think I have cancer of the nipple/breast and m.s. At least the last year of my life has been full of love and happiness after 20 years of hell trying to bring up kids on my own and their respective fathers wouldn't take any responibility finanially or emotionally for then, they are 18 and 27 both boys different dads because the first child's dad left me when I was 6 months pregnant.
