Tingling, pins and needles, pain

by jsan, Mar 17, 2009 08:01AM
A few weeks ago I was getting a burning pain on my legs and thighs and even my feet, which was worse at night.  I felt electric shocks and pins and needles.  It felt as if I was wearing wool.  I began getting these symptoms everywhere, my hands, arms, back, chest, throat, tongue, lips, face.  I had nerve tics everywhere as well.  So a friend suggested vitamin b-12 which really helped.  After taking 1000mcg of the vitamins for almost 2 weeks, here I am again with the symptoms, not as bad as before but they reappeared.  I don't know if it's because I began taking prevacid for acid reflex.  I feel itchy all over as if I was wearing wool.  I have a weird metalic taste in my mouth most of the day and my gums irritate.  Sometimes when I walk, I feel the floor vibrating.  At times my foot would drop, it happens with both feet.  My chest gets tight and my heart pounds but my heart rate remains the same.  I get a weird pressure on the lower part of my head and behind my ears as well as sharp pains in my ears and popping sounds.  My knees and ankles crack more than usual.  My neck gets tired and it's painful, sometimes the pain extends to my shoulders and arms.  I went to the doctor and I'm still waiting for the results of all the bloodwork done for lymes, thyroid, antibodies, vitamin b deficiency.  The pain on my neck wears me out and I have to sit to feel better, it even causes a sore throat and I feel nerve tics on my throat and chest.  By dinner time my neck is so tired and I have a hard time eating.  At times my neck feels stiff,  and I times one side of my body feels heavier than the other.  In general I feel heaviness and nauseas.  I wouldn't be surprised if there is something wrong with my level of vitamin b because I rarely eat meat and I don't eat seafood, at all.  At times, especially when I feel pressure on my lower head, I have visual disturbances.  I feel worse when I'm hungry and if I eat too quickly I feel weak and have visual disturbances.  From my left eye I see this weird brownish line that moves along with my eye movements and sometimes I see white dots.  I've been having this for quite a bit.  My left eye is a bit droopy, it's been like that for years, I was wondering if that's myastenia gravis.  Or do I have MS?  I'm losing my mind.  Oh, I got the tetanus shot yesterday and after getting it I had visual disturbances and tingling sensations all over my body, today the electric shocks feelings are worse.  The scalp on my lower head is sensitive too.  I should mention I'm 24 years and healthy.  I feel tired, weak, and desperate because I have a child who expects a lot of energy from me which I don't have.  Also, at times when I'm typing or writing my arm and or hand would feel heavy.  Thanks for all your help.
