Tingling and Twitching/Jerking

My 14 year old daughter normally has an eye that twitches a few times a day.  And it has progressively gotten worse.  A few nights ago she complained of her eye, hand, toe, and lip twitching all at the same time, waking her up in the middle of the night.   I thought nothing of it and sent her of to school.   Well after coming home from school my daughter complained of her hands constantly twitching her eye was still twitching slightly but her hands twithing seemed most bothersome at the time.  Each finger on her right hand would twitch in its own direction.  Her left hand was twitching also but not quite that severe.  Her hand twitching has died down now after the past few days but her arms, legs, lip, eyes, ect. continue to twitch. Do you know what this could be?

Sleep deprivation, fatigue, electrolyte distrubances, and stress can cause intermittent muscle twitches. I would recommend that you see your pediatrician and have this looked at. If they find anything concerning, they can make a referral to a pediatric neurologist. Good luck
