Tingling in back and arms

  About 6 months ago I experienced a tingling sensation on the left and right hand sides of my upper back.  This lasted about a month and then slowly went away.  Within the last 2 months or so, this tingling came back.  Then, just last week, I started experincing this feeling in my arms, particularly the left.  Also, today I became dizzy, and my vision blurred. My body is very sensitive to temperature, I get hot and cold very quickly.  My hands and feet are always freezing and I sweat easily.  I am 22 years old and have never had any other health problems.  Thank you for any information you can give.

The tingling, dizziness, and blurred vision that you experience, could be caused by a problem in your central nervous system. In a young woman, this kind of recurrent symptoms raise the question of multiple sclerosis (MS), which is important to diagnose as early as possible because there are available treatments that can be prescribed. But having these symptoms does not mean that you have MS, and it is certainly not possible to make this diagnosis over the internet. Formulating precise hypotheses requires that you be examined thoroughly by a physician. After examining you, a doctor can tell you if he/she thinks that your symptoms come from your nervous system or not, and prescribe appropriate tests if necessary.
