Tingling in right hand with stiffness in neck and shoulder

I have been experiencing stiffness in the back of my neck and then in the right shoulder for about 4 weeks  Past week it has developed into tingling and numbness in my right hand, especially my thumb.  The tingling occurs when me hand is at rest or when i am holding something.  I have not experienced and loss of strength but is ios very annoying.  I first thought it was a muscle spasm in my neck because I couldn't turn to the right.  Still pain when I turn my head but not as much.

hi, symptoms suggest cervical protusion or sponylosis(C5,6) involvement.Please get MRI done to rule out this possibity.Physiotherapy along with pain killers initially will be helpful.
