Hi, I am a 49-year old doctor in Malaysia with

Relieving pms. It bothers me when my trousers rubbed on the thigh but I can sleep well. I am otherwise healthy, no weakness, no pain, no fever, no lumps. My hematology (TWC, ESR 1 only) and routine biochemistry are normal. I have no family history of neurological diseases. The orthopaedic surgeon here thought it was related to my wearing my heavy camera on my belt. Somehow the belt may have caused edema to the nerve. I had stopped wearing the camera for a week and the numbness is still there. The neurologist thought it is meralgia paraesthetica. I will really appreciate some advice: would ultrasound or MRI show up anything? I have a few sores on the toes of the same side, the dermatologist thought it was eczema of some sort. I wonder if this may be the source of infection in the inguinal nodes or the nerve itself. I took ciprofloxacin 500 mg bd for a week and there seems to be slight improvement after a few days. Would a short course of steroid (say Prednisolone 10 mg tds for a week with Omeprazole 20 mg daily ) help? Thank you.
