Tingly/prickly skin around upper half of body

Hello, I'm 15 years old, am male and have been having strange sensations around my head, face, shoulders, and sometimes my arms for maybe half a year or so. It drives me insane, it's quite painful and I can't really do anything about it but wait for it to go away. It happens mostly when I'm quite hot, and I get hot quite easily and I am reluctant to the heat. It happens about once or tqice a week and when it does happen it goes on for maybe five minutes or so, in which I'm going crazy, washing my face franticaly and trying to get it to go away. I haven't seen a doctor about it, I don't think it's particularly necessary, it doesn't happen too often, and when it does it quickly stops, but it seems to be getting more and more painful every time, and I probably should soon. Is there anything else I could do?

How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Prickly sensation may be caused by the heat or could also be nerve-related. Sometimes, heat may also cause prickly rash. Try to avoid too much heat and drink plenty of fluids and take cool showers to provide relief. If it persists, have this checked by your doctor to rule out any nerve-related causes.
