Tinnitus Help

Well I've had tinnitus for probably 3 years now. It just recently got pretty bad (about a month ago). But about 5-6 days ago its gotten a lot worse and yesterday and today it's been really bad. Is thos normal? I heard there are such things as spikes that can last a while... does it seem like the level will go back to normal? this is almost unbearable... the hissing and ringing is almost painful to my ears now.

Hi,

There can be many causes of tinnitus like ear infections, ear wax, inner ear diseases like Meneire’s disease, labrynthitis, acoustic neuroma, and medications like aspirin, tetracycline etc.
This requires further evaluation by an ENT specialist. Please get it done. Thanks
