Does the Drug Topomax (topamax) have long term side effects? Dropping Potassium levels? And effect your GI tract? I started taking topamax in April 100 mg a Day for essential tremor and went off it 3 weeks ago and since then I have lost 15 pounds and my CT scan shows problems
prominenent distention of stomach and gastropaeresis with partial gastric outlet obstruction, in addition little contrast was seen in colon.
Not sure if this is related or not to this drug and never had any GI problems before and wasn't over weight and now I am severely showing signs of malabsorbtion including potassuim B12 and several others.
Now I very under weight since stopping the drug.
