Toxic mold?? Dizzy and SO out of it

Recently my office has had major leak problems, where the carpet is SOAKING wet by my desk and another lady's desk. I'm in an office where there is no ventilation, or windows that can be opened (it's similar to a warehouse). This happened about two or three different times, and every time it did happen, they just let the carpet air-dry, and did atleast try to put the de-humidifier on at some point (although I'm sure it didn't do anything).

The first time it happened was around May, and I remember that day i had to go home before I actually threw up (whether it was from the mold, i'm not sure). Ever since then, I have been feeling SO ill, symptoms that I have never ever experienced, to the point where i cannot even function. I've had major dizzy spells, migraines (my head feels like it is pulsing), blurry vision, feel like I'm in a dream world, extreme fatigue, confusion, memory loss, etc. I finally put two and two together and realized that it MUST be from the mold. I've gone to two doctors since then (both are kinesiologists and naturopaths) and they've both put me on homeopathic meds for mold/aspergillus and even EBV (which I haven't had an issue with in years).

I'm SO upset, because i was doing so well to the point where I stopped making doctor's appointments.. until this happened. I LOVE my job and feel like I finally found where I want to be career-wise, but i just don't know what to do anymore, I'm in such a bad situation. I've been drinking milk thistle (to help support my liver and detoxify), a multi-vitamin & enzyme spray (about 2 times a day) and have been taking Grapefruit seed Extract every day (anti-fungal, about 10 drops 2 or 3x a day), but feel like nothing is helping! I still feel SO out of it and sooo so dizzy everyday, I feel like I have been slurring my words and cannot even think straight sometimes. I've been avoiding sugar and wheat as much as possible, but nothing seems to be changing, even though I've been on the meds.

I brought this up to my boss last week, and they did recently move my desk into another room (there's a front office and a back office), had a carpet cleaning service come in and clean the carpets, and they are trying to re-locate the office, but who knows when that will be. I've taken off a few days because I just couldn't function and was hysterical crying because I was scared to go to the office. I'm a complete wreck, and just don't know what to do anymore because these symptoms won't go away. I want to see another doctor, because I feel like there may be something seriously wrong with me.

The problem is that because we had the carpets cleaned, my boss thinks that I should be feeling better since the "mold is gone". The back and front room are connected, so the air circulates between the two.

Does anyone have ANY suggestions on any of this, or can help me with any kind of feedback? Is there anything else i can take that may help reduce some of these symptoms? Thank you so much for your help, and sorry this is so long! Just don't know what to do anymore..

I've been experiencing similar symptoms.. mainly the dizziness/vertigo; the uncontrollable rocking back and forth motion of the body when the allergy finally hits. From my discoveries, I think it's mostly related to black mold, which is different from the green mold you find on food. There are different species of mold, black being the worst. The black mold found in my home (and millions of others) are primarily in the toilets and the washing machines, their growth is simply inevitable because there is usually a constant water source.

My advice may not help you very much, but may help in preventing the allergy at home.

For the toilets, I would recommend cleaning them up as much as you are able.. mainly with bleach, and stay on top of it. Also, keep the water reservoir behind the toilet clean with those blue toilet cleaner tablets.. I like the Clorox ones with the bleach in them.

I still live with my parents, and am not fully able to escape the family washer. Today I wash my clothes in a portable washer, but still have to use the family dryer.. which doesn't seem to bother me as much, as I wipe the dryer down with hydrogen peroxide before using. The family washer is probably my worst enemy, because unless you're a mechanic, it's not an easy thing to dismantle and clean, let alone every 6 months or so.

I've tried cleaning this evil washer with many different methods (Affresh, bleach, vinegar, baking soda, borax, hot water, soaking) but wouldn't recommend any of them because it actually backfired on me. The dizziness symptoms got worse and the washer actually started to  smell, which is the opposite of what I expected. I likely exposed some heavy layers of liquid detergent, hard water, and mold buildup, but wasn't fully able to kick all three at once. In my honest opinion, I don't think it's fully possible to clean a washer without tearing it down.

For anyone interested in the portable washer I use, it's an $80 semi-automatic Panda XPB27 that I found on Amazon. I chose this guy because I can actually see inside of it, and am able to clean every nook and cranny. I make it a point to dry the thing out every time I'm finished with it. I also dry my body off with paper towels to avoid skin flare ups, and empty the garbage often to prevent further growth.

Hi... so sorry to hear that you're going through the same thing. it's the absolute worst thing i've ever gone through in my entire life, and so so scary. what are your symptoms?? i have actually improved since i posted this, but unfortunately it's been a REALLY slow process, and i am nowhere near recovery, but the dizziness, migraines, slurred speech, clogged ears, pulsing and all of that has basically subsided for the most part... so far. The only issues I'm still dealing with are the disorientation, feeling like i'm literally wasted or in a dream world (this feeling just won't go away), memory issues, and hair loss. I'm trying to stay positive and hoping it will all resolve itself eventually but it's been really tough... here are some of the things that i've been taking religiously and have definitely helped somewhat:

Detox Teas (from my local healthfood store) it's a Chinese one called Daily Detox (by Wellements - u can probably order it online) and i just drink a few cups of it every day, non stop.
Yogi also has one for Detoxing, which I drink a TON of as well.
Plain yogurt -- for probiotics, I think this helps a lot for some reason
Psyilliam Husk & Bentonite Clay detox shakes -- u can look them up online (my doctor put me on these)
I've been avoiding ALL sugars/wheat, anything that can affect the candida and mold..

That's basically it.. i think the most important thing is to detox as much as possible, and i do think it's helped at some level... if you have any questions or wanna talk feel free to email me anytime ***@****. I totally understand what it's like to go through this.
