Treatment,vitamin supplement for help

I am a bc survivor for 6+years and have had peripheral neuropathy off and on in my feet and toes and sometimes in my left hand.  After chemo and radiation I had the systoms in my feet most of the time.  Went on herciptin for 2 1/2 yrs and it was very very slight and thought thank goodness that it is gone.  But shortly after words, it came back.  Liveable... i broke my left ankle in october of 2008. During the treatment and healing process I had no syptoms (symptoms) started back up.  No I have had the tingling, numbness iun my feet dfaioy and all day for the last two months.  it seems to get worse at night.  my husband says i wake hium up sometimes it is like i am running a race at night.
I have read some pts writings from other sights that they have tried vitamin C1.  I can't find it.  does any one know what the chemical name for this is?  Is there any thing I can take for this.  I have a rx for amitripatylin 50mg 1 tablet at bedtime.

Please any informastion that you might have I would truely appreciate it.

Please do not take treatment based on someones advise, your neurologist is the best person to prescribe.
Many treatment strategies for peripheral neuropathy are symptomatic.
A range of drugs that act on the central nervous system such as drugs originally intended as antidepressants and antiepileptic drugs have been found to be useful in managing neuropathic pain. Commonly used treatments include using a Tricyclic antidepressant (such as amitriptyline) and antiepileptic therapies such as gabapentin or sodium valproate. These have the advantage that besides being effective in many cases they are relatively low cost.

Other treatments that can be effective include TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and complementary therapies.

Take care!
