Trigeminal Nerve Damage

by mishmashh, May 18, 2008 11:29PM
Hello, in 2000 I was found unconscious (5hrs) after walking home from work.  I woke in Hospital at 3am with five fractures to my L face (depressed cheekbone), L temple smashed, and fractured L collarbone (I am left-handed).  I was xrayed and sent home at 6am with Panadeine Forte for pain.  I have no memory of this accident/assault, being in ambulance or where I lived.  One week later the swelling was down enough for another xray, this showed the need for temporary plates to be fitted through the mouth and side of eye. They had to put permanent plate and another plate with three screws down side of L eye. From then I was in terrible pain in: temple/eye, cheek, ear/ throat, lips/teeth numb, ultra-sensitive to sound, fluro-light, lock jaw, panic attacks.  I was slowly going MAD with pain.  I am taking 150mg Zoloft, 10mg Endep, 60mg Serapax & 40mg MS-Contin.  My vagus nerve is giving me hell as well and I find it extremely hard to clean teeth, eat, swallow and keep emotionally balanced.  Any suggestions?  Help me please
