Trigeminal Neuralgia, Possible Headache or MS

I am a 46 year old female.  A few months ago i was referred to a neurologist because part of my right big toe felt numb to me (internally - not externally).  The doctor reviewed my history and thought i might have MS based on my symptoms and the fact that my mother had MS.  He seemed convinvced of the potential diagnosis to say that he might still "treat" me even if all my tests come back negative despite the fact that I have an annular tear in L5 - S1.  All my tests were negative - Brain, Cervical and Thoracic MRI's, upper and lower evoked potential and spinal tap.  There was a difference in the basic eye test he gave me that looked at contrasting colors - it was with a flash card of sorts.  Everything started to make sense to me.  20+ years ago i did have an episode where i lost my eyesight in my left eye for a few moments and then have had intermitent discomfort and limitation since.   A recent eye exam showed a difference of about 1 or 1.5 in strength of my left and right eye.  I was tested for optic neuritis a couple of months ago and the test was negative too.  But i continue to not only have discomfort in my eye but also experience pain in the left side of my face that happens quite often (and what i used to refer to numbness that i've experienced for about 15 years - numbness because my nostril was stuffed an unable to inhale)- more like an achy feeling and my eye is affected.  I find it soothing to close my eye.  I also sometimes get very minor twinges of pain in my left ear and a few times in my life i've had stabbing pain in my face that lasts for a few seconds and the entire episode lasts for just a day or so.  From the reserch i've done, it seems like this could be trigeminal neuralgia but what is different is that i feel like i have muscle pain around the eye - right below the brow and when i massage the area and the left side of my nose, the discomfort eases and my stuffy nose feels a bit better.   Wearing my glasses have a positive impact too.  I've read about cluster headaches and it seems like so many of the symptoms fit EXCEPT for the severe pain.  I do have the droopy eyelid too.  I've read about Hemicrania Continua and chronic paroxysmal hemicrania . I don't have red eyes and the headache isn't severe but there are points on my head that are sore and like my brow, when i massage them, the pain is eased.  What do you think of these symptoms?   i apologize for this being so long.

Hi,
How are you feeling now?
Can you tell me if any rheumatic condition like Systemic Lupus erthyomatosis or systemic sclerosis has being ruled out?
You could also have what I feel is Stroke/CVA/ Diabetic Neuropathy/ Multiple sclerosis/Migraine.
Pain in ear and pain in eye with some dizziness with headaches could suggest some intracranial space occupying lesion, but your scans reports are normal.
I would suggest you to meet another neurologist, take a fresh opinion and thorough neurological examination.
Bye.
