True mystery diagnosis

I'm an otherwise healthy 21 year old male. In Feb of 2009 I woke up feeling "out of it". Almost like when you stand up quickly and get light headed, but all the time. It fluctuates in severity but has been continuously getting worse and worse. It just feels like I'm always in the twilight zone. Things just don't register like they used to. Passing a road sign I have trouble reading it and retaining the information like I used to. Sometimes I will send a text message and have to look back to remember what I actually wrote down. It feels like I'm on autopilot.I havn't used any drugs minus marijuana in over 4 years and only drink occasionally. So far I've had a head CT scan which showed no problems, I underwent vestibular therapy with no results, had an ENT exam with no problems, and most recently had a chiropractor adjust my occipital and atlas...over a week later since that and still no results. I can't determine anything that makes it worse in particular minus a beer. One beer and the symptoms increase a good amount but also seem to go back to what they used to be or only a slight increase after a nights sleep. I seem to be able to complete tasks still such as typing, driving, etc. but I just feel very "out of it" and spacey. Any ideas at all to at least just get me a diagnosis would be greatly appreciated...I feel hopeless here. Theres nothing else anyone can seem to think it is.

I think the marijuana has taken the toll, do not drink alcohol, no drugs or no smoking. With proper diet, in fresh fruits, nuts and balanced diet with exercise over a period of time you will gain your memory. Consult a neurologist who will help you out with a plan. Take care!

The marijuana 4 years ago never really affected me. It did to a certain extent which is why I stopped using it. I had zero symptoms like I have now for the over 4 years since I stopped using it. There was really no set instance that I can think of that triggered it. I just woke up and it was there and now its steadily getting worse. I don't smoke and only have some alcohol when I rarely do. I really don't think the small amount of drug use 4 years ago would suddenly cause the extreme onset of these symptoms. It just doesn't make sense.

I did not come to a conclusion, it is one of my differential diagnosis based on the history you have presented, but you have to understand that memory loss and brain damage can be felt with residual problem after years of usage also.
Cannabis has psychoactive and physiological effects when consumed. The minimum amount of THC required to have a perceptible psychoactive effect is about 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight.Aside from a subjective change in perception, the most common short-term physical and neurological effects include increased heart rate, lowered blood pressure, impairment of psychomotor coordination, concentration, and short-term episodic and working memory. Long-term effects are less clear.
So it is a possibility and please consult a good neurologist, diagnosis and MRI may help.
