Hi, I have just noticed my 12 year old daughter started to twitch her headHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury recently during a ballet exam, she only did for a short period not the whole exam (the exam lasts for an hour), I presume it is a nervous twitch? My husband also noticed during a fathers day performance. Could someone tell me how to deal with this - we actually have not said anything to my daughter as we dont want to alarm her. What should we do?
How are you?
It may be just a nervous tic due to stress and anxiety. It is good that you have not said anything to her as it will only make the matters worse. Most of the tics go away on their own after sometime. Please be patient for some time. If the twitch is persistent then you may need to discuss this with her pediatrician.
In college I would be nervous around peers and would freeze up in class anxious.
Every so often there would be a tic and my head would snap. Not fighting them and ignoring them is what stopped them. Now I can sit in public and look around and not tic if this helps.
Good luck
