Twitching Muscles

On last Wednesday, my left upper eye lid began twitching and did not calm down until Friday.  Then I began noticing twitching all over my body.  The muscles would twitch a few times, then when I moved it would stop.  I am very concerned about this, and always get myself worked up when stuff happens to me.  I am a 22 year old male with  Crohn's Diesease, and I am currently wheening myself off of Entocort (Corticosteriod).  Should I be concerned about these symtoms?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
There are a number of causes for muscle twitches. Twitching that is not caused by a disease or disorder is called benign twitching. Benign twitching is usually caused by dehydration or fatigue of that particular muscle. Twitching may be caused by exercising. Another cause is a nutritional deficiency . Overuse of caffeine, or any other drug can also cause muscle twitching. It is a side effect of drug abuse from diuretics, corticosteroids, estrogens and other substances. The cause of body twitching in your case could be prolonged use of Corticosteroids . Please  consult your doctor for the management of the symptoms . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !

I'd definitely be in contact with your primary care physician, especially if symptoms continue.
