Uncontrollable beating ear drum

Does anyone else's ear drum make a thumping noise for sometimes up to 15 hours? I've read about people getting this sensation for up to three hours, but sometimes mine persists for hours upon hours? I need answers!!!

The only things I can relate your symptoms to are (1) sometimes an insect can get in your ear and make that kind of racket, a doctor can get it out, (2) you are hearing your heartbeat, or (3) there are a group of people in the U.S. who have a distracting booming sound.  I'll elaborate.

I saw a documentary a long time ago, it was about some people who separately had this low-range boom sound in their heads, they thought they were going crazy, and after a while most of these people found each other and formed a group.  One of them even went down into a cave underground, and they could still hear the sound.  Finally somehow one of them found out about submarines, that they made a low-range noise picked up by a certain limited number of people who could hear within certain uncommon low hearing ranges... kind of like most of us cannot hear in the very high ranges but dogs can... and this sub sound is apparently a very low range.  Obviously the subs aren't going to change things, altho the group made some effort that way.  But just knowing there are others can help.  If this is you, I imagine they're online somewhere.  

But on the heartbeat thing, the most likely culprit, sometimes my heart will start racing, if I get startled or if I am under long-term stress or any number of things, and I can sometimes hear it pumping in my ears.  It's kind of a soft sound, but if you're in a quiet room, it can seem loud.  Could be you have some excess wax in your ears and that is making it easier for the pumping sound to be audible internally to you.  I think you should get your ears checked by an ear nose throat ENT man, just in case it's something out of the ordinary.
