Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Parkinson’s disease is one cause for involuntary movements of the body both localized and generalized. The other possible causes are systemic lupus erythematosus or lupus, polycythemia rubra vera, anti-cardiolipin antibody syndrome, stroke or transient ischemic attack, thyroid disease, and disorders of calcium, glucose or sodium metabolism. Rare causes include Sydenham's chorea, Huntington's disease, and Wilson's disease. However, almost all of the above mentioned conditions cause numerous other symptoms apart from the involuntary movements. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
