Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.
The cause may be related to irritation of a portion of the fifth cranial nerve. The etiologies could be meningioma, demyelinating lesion (such as MS), etc. If there are objective findings on physical examination, you may benefit from an MRI with and without contrast of your brain. Additionally, you should have an ESR and CRP checked to evaluate for possible low grade inflammation.
I agree you should be evaluated by a neurologist.
