Unknown Head Problem

I am 18. A few weeks ago i was sitting at my desk and suddenly all the noise in the room seemed to have gotten very loud. I looked up, and everything looked blury, I tried to get a hold of myself, but everything was getting more loud and more blury and distorted. Suddenly the whole area around me started to be black, as if my eyes were turning in their sockets, and I became unconsiouss. When I woke up, an ambulance was there, and I noticed saliva all over my desk. I was able to control the rest of bodily functions however. I felt extremely week when I woke up. My sugar level was taken, and it was 2 or 3. I was given a 50% solution of "sugar water". I found that their might have been a mistake when taking my sugar level, as I had quite a large lunch and drank grape juice, had pizza, etc... I was taken to the hospital and when I was in the hospital, I felt significantly stronger. I was given several tests. I was given a blood test,ECHO,CT,Halt Monitor,EEG,and a complete cardio check up. Every test came back normal. This has not happnened again to me. However, I've been getting strange symtoms. It's like the occurence is happening all over agin. Noises are getting louder, the world around me looks blurry, I basically have strange sensations in my head. However, I am able to control myself, and return to normal in apprx. 10-20 seconds. This however hasn't happened in apprx. a week. Do you think the first occurence was a seizure. And the second occurences were "aura's"? Could the 2nd ones be anxiety attacks, and what do you think the first thing was when I passed out? Thank you!

Did you mean that I should drink more drinks with aspartame in them?

I have had some of the same symptoms.  I was told they were related to aspartame toxicity.  Do you use artifical sweetners?  Anything like, diet drinks, and nutrasweet products have aspartame.  Look it up on the internet.  It has reduced my symptoms greatly.  I still suffer from the ear ringing.

Just a thought to try to help.

I'm glad that everything has come out normal so far. When someone has an episode of loss of consciousness, it's sometimes difficult to distinguish between a seizure or a fainting spell (and sometimes migraine). Usually after a seizure, patients are groggy or "out of it" for about half an hour or so, whereas after fainting they're "with it" soon after they come to. Fainting or "syncope" (the medical term) can be caused by a number of things including low blood sugar and heart problems.

A seizure is always a possibility. Consider seeing a neurologist for a formal exam just to make sure everything is ok. If seizure is still suspected, the docs can order video-EEG monitoring where you are hospitalized in an epilepsy unit and hooked up to a 24hr monitor for a few days. That way when you have an episode, they can look for EEG changes. If there aren't any, then it's unlikely to be a seizure. THere is a home version too without the video, kind of like the holter monitor for the heart. Hope that helps.

***May be of help in diagnosing ***

Also, before this, when I thought about it, I sometimes got these "full sensations" in my head. And the right side of my head got a strange sensation as well at times. I have had ringing in my ears yesterday, and a couple of days before the whole incident occured. Maybe this is also a cause, but I don't believe I have ever had significant head trauma before this had occured.

Thanks in advance:)

***Other facts while diagnosing***

Strange as it may be.. I have rarely any headpain.. even before the incident I had no headache or head pain whatsoever.

I also don't take any medication, don't do drugs at all (I have never done them) and i have also have never had alcohol (literally never, maybe once when I was 10 days old at my bris)

Thanks in advance:)
