VERTIGO VS DISC BULGE/DIZZINESS

MY DOC SAID I HAVE POSITIONAL VERTIGO BUT I FEEL LIKE IT IS SOMETHING MORE.  I JUST DO NOT FEEL LIKE MY USUAL SELF.  MY NECK IS STIFF, ESPECIALLY WHEN I TURN IT SO I AM WONDERING IF I AM MISTAKING THAT FOR THE DIZZINESS.  MY BODY KIND OF HAS A PULSING FEELING GOING DOWN MY SPINE AT TIMES WHEN I TURN MY NECK.  I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH BALANCE, TOO.  I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY TENSE AND HAVING A HORRIBLE TIME FOCUSING ON THE SMALLEST TASKS.  MY DOC WANTED TO ORDER AND MRI FOR ME, JUST WONDERING IF THAT WOULD SHOW UP ANYTHING I DON'T ALREADY KNOW.  I DO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (CONTROLLED WITH MEDS) AND I HAD A BENIGN BRAIN TUMOR TWENTY YEARS AGO.  ANY THOUGHTS?

I have been diagnosed with left vertebral artery occlusion.  I have had several episodes of vertigo, nausea and just feeling lousy.  It was discovered about 4 yrs ago and since then more and more vertigo problem, ringing in ears, visual disturbance with double vision.
Does anyone have any information on what I can do for this.  I've been told there is nothing they can do.
