I just went through about 7 days of severe vertical doubleDouble-tussin dm vision where I would see:
DoubleDouble-tussin dm vision
DoubleDouble-tussin dm vision
versus
DoublevisionDoublevision
I would see a doubleDouble-tussin dm of everything one on top of the other with no pain involved whatsoever.
Has anyone out there experienced this and what diagnosis were you given?
I experience that at night. When I told my eye doctor about it he tested me to see if I had "prism"(?) or what ever it is called. According to him I do not have "prism" but I still have the verticle doubleDouble-tussin dm vision...
I would suggest that you see a neurologist. He will determine if the problem is in eyes (optic), muscle of eye (Occular motor) or vestibularAcoustic neuroma system (which controls balance). It could also be due to nerve involvement in brain (Cranial nerve III, IV).
Third eye nerve palsy.. causes vertical double vision but with pain.. one eye looks foward and the other eye droops down and inward or outward.. happens more often to diabetics
