Vertigo, Dizziness, Tingling, Numbness

Seven weeks ago had severe onset vertigo 24/7 which lasted 7 days. Then went into 24/7 dizziness lasted 10 days. Two weeks had lightheadedness. At the three week mark started having pin ***** sensations through body. Then numb in one toe which still have and tingling/pins and needle sensations in arms/hands and legs/feet, as well as random burning sensations. Tingling has now turned into numbness in arms running from hands up to upper arms only at night when half lying down. When change positions, goes away. Have head aura which waxes and wanes presently from day to day. Cannot lay down or will get dizzy. Slight periodic right ear pain. When laying down lost hearing in one ear for 10 min. Have experienced full ear periodically throughout ordeal. Infrequent mild shooting pains in joints and muscles. Head MRI normal, blood work normal. Approx. 3 months back started having racing heart. Booked to see neuro and ent. Vestibular testing to be carried out in 6 weeks. What tests should i be insistin from neuro....any thoughts of which direction this might be taking in terms of diagnoses.

Carolewe, did you ever get a diagnosis??  I am having similar symptoms, but Dr's have not been very helpful.  Going on 3rd week now.  Thanks for your help!

I would request an MRI of your neck r/t symptoms.  You can ask the Neuro about this.  This problem might be coming from your spine.

Also, rule any inner ear problems out with the ENT Specialist.

Bloodwork for thyroid done?  Screened for Lyme's?  Viral panel done?
