Very painful tooth and face after having a cavity filled

by needsomehelp24, Sep 18, 2008 10:06AM
I went to the Dentist yesturday and had a large cavity in my wisdom tooth filled they just used the whit stuff ( not sure what the proper name for it is) During the proccedure i noticed that the numbing was wearing off and as i walked out of the dentists my tooth and side of my face was begining to throb.

She did say that if it didn't stop the pain she would have to refer me for an extraction, but all she did was make the ain worse!!

I hav been taking cocodamol and nurofen and this hasn't even been taking the edge off the pain. It is 5 times worse than it was before i went into the dentists yesturday. The pain is getting worse all of the time. It is very sensitive to both hot and cold and even just to talk it hurts. The side of my face is all swollen and it is making me miserable.

Any advice would be greatly received, also if you know any pain relief that might help
