Wandering if this is right

My doctor recently perscribed Amitriptylin to me for my constant headaches. Lastnight was the first night I took it. After I took it, I got drowsey (as I was told I would). I slept ok throughout the night and this morning when it was time to get up it was very hard. I felt like I was still drunk from the night before. I woke up about an hour and a half ago and am still feeling this way. I tried to eat to see if that would help but did not. I am wandering if I should keep taking this, will my body become used to it and if so how long should it take? Any other Ideas?
