My 80 year old mother, who is in pretty good shape for her age has been diagnosed with a compressionCompression of the median nerve Cpr - adult Cpr - child (1 to 8 years old) Cpr - infantfractureFractures across a growth plate. She was hospitalized for over a week and then sent to a rehab center for almost a month. She is home now and doing therapy several times a week. She is no better today than 6 or 7 weeks ago. I have been reading about a couple of different non-invasive procedures that sound very promising. She went to see an orthopedic surgeon yesterday who told her that nothing can be done and it may go away by itself??
Can you mention where she has the compression fracture? These days, depending upon the site of operation, there are either minimally invasive techniques, or radiational techniques that do not require surgery.
