Weekness and pain in legs

by lisacounce, Dec 28, 2008 12:38PM
I had knee replacement a year ago and my knee hurts as much as it did before the surgery. I also have severe pain in both legs and my legs are very weak and get extrememly tired. I swim 5 days a week to increase the strength in my legs but nothing seems to help. I ice my knee, massage it, anything that I can to help relieve pain in my legs.

I have returned to my osteo physician several times with my concerns and he took x-rays of my back and knee. He says the surgery was successful and looks good. The pain in my knee is as bad as it was before the surgery. I have had no relief and I really believed I would be doing so much better by now. It has been over a year since the surgery. I see no relief in the future and my legs ache so much that I my activities are very limited.  I am thinking of seeking a second opinion. Is there anyone who might have similar symptoms or a similar experience. Any advice will be well received.  Thank you
