My son suffered a concussion playing football a couple months ago and has been getting very bad headaches ever since then. The medicine that he was taking doesn't appear to be helping and the doctor wants to put him on WellbutrinWellbutrin Wellbutrin sr Wellbutrin xl. Reading through the warnings, it seems to be a pretty scary drug due to the repeated suicideSuicide and suicidal behavior warnings. I also can't see where it's used for concussions or post concussion syndrome.
Is this something that's commonly prescribed? He's not depressed.
Hi,
I have gone through articles and other websites but I have not come across any literature saying use of WellbutrinSR as a choice for headache.
I think you should be revisiting the doctor and ask him for any other medication which could be helpful.
Keep me informed.
Bye.
