What could this be?

My biggest concern is having something like MS or ALS.  In a nutshell, had a virus for a week in mid October, then woke up 7 days into the cold with burning in the back of my head and neck, along with a weak/heavy feeling in my thigh muscles. Also my right had has felt kind of week but I'm not sure if that is from lifting weights or not.  I'm still lifting and running and haven't noticed any true weakness other than in my bench press but that could be because I've lost 8 pounds over the last 6 weeks and because I haven't been eating as much because of stress.  The burning in the back of my head and neck lasted a couple days then went away for about 10 days then came back again this past Sunday and Monday for a couple days.  I get diffuse burning sensations off and on in my forearms, legs, back of my head, neck.  Plus, I notice I feel a little shaky, mostly in my arms.  This Sat will have been 3 weeks since I first got symptoms.  Yesterday, I was feeling a little bit of a cramp in the arch of my foot and a little bit of twitching.  I went and lifted weights and ran 20 minutes (I still feel that in my legs but am able to run through it).  After I got done, I had off/on cramp in my left arch and diffuse twitching all over - top of feet, calves, forearms, and it was off and on last night.  Also, had some burning sensations in my thighs last night.  I hadn't had the twitching or cramping until yesterday for the first time.

What could this be?  I have had basically every blood test including CRP, ESR, all negative.  I have a Neuro appointment 12/9.  I'm pretty scared.  I'm male, 44 yrs old.

How much and often are you doing sport? I am most definite this is BFS.  The biggest reason I would say this is NOT ALS is because you having twitching all over and no true weakness.

Are you taking any type of medication or supplements?

Worked again today. Tonight cramping in left arch and occasional right. Twitching in arches, calves, occasionally thighs and other places in upper body.  This morning, feet were tingling. Not so much now. No numbness or weakness.

In my opinion, this is NOT ALS.  Sounds like BFS (Benign Fasciculation Syndrome).

Did you have potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium, chloride, etc. levels drawn?
