I was diagnosed with bacterial meningits(pneumo-strep) on April 22, 2010. I did 10 days of IV rocephen(sp?) and nothing after that. I have had constant bad headaches since then. They did a spinal tap last week & I found out that I have a high Lymph, csf %. Does anyone know what this might mean? I still feel like crap. Do I still have an infection? The csf was clear & pressure was within normal range.
I think the infection is still lingering. Have you seen an ID (Infectious Disease) Specialist at all? You should be following up with an ID Specialist and a Neurologist. I think you need another round of antibiotics.
Now, keep in mind one can after effects from bacterial Meningitis; i.e. persistent migraines.
