What is T2-hyperintense white matter foci?
My MRI report reads, "The CSF spaces are within normal imits for age.  Small T2-hyperintense white matter foci are present in the frontal and parietal lobes, with largest mesauring approximately 6 mm in the left frontal lobe.  No mass effect or unusual enhancement is evident.   No abnormal extra-axial fluid collection is seen.
Impression:   Scattered white matter foci, nonspecific.

What does this mean?
