What is going on with me?

by roxcollins, Oct 13, 2009 03:52PM
The begining of September I went to ER with right side face, hand numbness, heavy feeling over my eyebrows, droopy eyes and headache.  Since this time I have been experiencing continued symptoms. The symptoms I am having have not let up but get worse when fatigued.  I am very easily fatigued and if I do much of anything I become dizzy, have blurred vision, internal & external shakiness, heavy feeling in eyebrow area, drooping eyelids and occasionally right hand numbness.  My tongue is constantly moving in my mouth.  It has small twitches and also larger movements making it wiggly.  My left eyelid hangs slightly lower than before and the right corner of my mouth drops slightly lower.  I have had a head MRI with and without contrast with nothing but a "prominent right basal ganglia perivascular space" showing up. I also had blood tests for thyroid, b12 deficiency, rheumatoid factor and others all within normal range.  I am unable to work with these symptoms and am hopin for a recovery soon.  My Neurologist says I need to give the medication (Started Amitriptyline 20 mgs Sept 21st) more time to work and we are now sitting at a stand still.  Looking for advise on what else to try.  Could this be complicated migraine lasting for 7 weeks.  Could these symptoms be permanent? Could it be something more serious not showing up on tests? Any ideas or advise are welcome!  Thanks
